A1.1 is the starting point for learning German. Learners build essential vocabulary and basic grammar to introduce themselves, talk about everyday topics, and manage simple conversations.

A1.2 expands basic German communication skills for everyday situations. Learners discuss housing, health, shopping, leisure activities, past experiences, appointments, and future plans with greater confidence.

A2.1 develops German skills for everyday life, work, and social situations. Learners talk about experiences, school, work, travel, and housing while learning to express opinions, make suggestions, and sustain longer conversations.

A2.2 prepares learners for more independent communication in daily and professional life. Topics include job applications, services, health, culture, banking, consumer issues, and resolving problems or conflicts politely.

B1.1 helps learners progress toward independent German use in personal, social, and workplace situations. They strengthen their ability to discuss opinions, experiences, work, health, and social issues, while presenting information and participating in discussions.

B1.2 deepens independent communication skills for work, education, society, and everyday life. Learners develop stronger written and spoken communication, including arguments, problem-solving, professional correspondence, and structured discussions.

B2.1 is designed for advanced learners who want to use German confidently in academic, professional, and social contexts. Learners explore complex topics such as migration, career development, health, sustainability, and community life while developing persuasive communication skills.

B2.2 builds on B2.1 and prepares learners for demanding professional, academic, and social communication. Learners analyse complex issues, moderate discussions, evaluate arguments critically, and express their views clearly and precisely.

C1.1 is for advanced learners seeking high-level German skills for study, work, and social participation. Learners engage with complex subjects such as identity, multilingualism, mobility, sustainability, education, history, and social change while developing sophisticated arguments.

C1.2 is the advanced stage of the C1 level. Learners critically analyse complex academic, professional, cultural, and social topics, develop nuanced arguments, and communicate with precision in presentations, discussions, and formal writing.

A complete B2 package combining B2.1 and B2.2. Learners communicate fluently, understand complex texts and discuss abstract, academic and professional topics with precision.

A complete C1 package combining C1.1 and C1.2. Learners use German flexibly and effectively in demanding academic, professional and social contexts.

An engaging introductory German course for learners aged 8–14. Students learn to introduce themselves and communicate about family, school, hobbies and everyday routines.

A continuation course for learners aged 8–14 that expands basic vocabulary and communication for shopping, food, leisure, appointments and familiar situations.

A practical A2.1 course for learners aged 8–14. Students develop longer conversations about school, travel, experiences, plans and everyday activities.

A course for learners aged 8–14 that completes A2 through communication about opinions, media, health, plans, experiences and common problem-solving situations.

A complete A1 package for learners aged 8–14, combining A1.1 and A1.2 across 24 sessions.

This A2 German course is designed for young learners aged 8 to 14 who have completed A1 or have equivalent German knowledge. It combines A2.1 and A2.2 to strengthen communication skills through topics that are relevant to young people, including friendship, feelings, school, media, travel, city life, cafés, internships, the environment, events, and everyday communication.

Personalized A1 German instruction. One student: 16 sessions of 2 hours for 15,000 EGP. Two students together: 20 sessions of 2 hours for 22,500 EGP total. Scheduling is arranged according to availability.

The Teaching Diploma (DaF Lehrgang) is a six-module professional training program for qualified German-language teachers. It prepares participants to plan, deliver, evaluate, and reflect on modern, action-oriented, and competence-based German lessons. The program covers CEFR-based lesson planning, teaching methods, practice activities, material adaptation, assessment design, online teaching, digital tools, and teaching German to young learners and teenagers. Applicants must provide proof of German language proficiency at B2–C1 level, at least 450 hours of teaching experience, and a university degree in German Studies, German Language, or Translation Studies. Outstanding applicants may be considered for official employment at the Austrian Institute.
