Culture & LifestyleFrom the Desert to the Alps: Summer in Egypt and Austria
Summer can look completely different depending on where you spend it. In Egypt, summer means sunshine, heat and long evenings by the sea. In Austria, mountains, lakes and green landscapes invite people to enjoy nature and outdoor activities.

Summer in Egypt
Egyptian summer days are hot and sunny. Temperatures can often rise above 35°C. Many people spend their free time by the sea, for example in Alexandria, Hurghada or on the North Coast.
Swimming, eating ice cream, going out with friends or sitting outside until late at night are all part of the Egyptian summer.
One of the best things about summer is the long evenings. After sunset, cities become lively, with cafés, restaurants and streets full of people.

Summer in Austria
Summer in Austria is usually milder. The temperatures are more comfortable, and nature plays a big role in everyday life.
Many people go hiking, cycling or spend the day by a lake. The Austrian Alps are especially beautiful in summer, with green meadows, clear lakes and breathtaking landscapes.
Summer festivals, outdoor events and relaxed evenings outside are also an important part of summer in Austria.
